Digital Eco-Zine: Inspiring Change Through Art and Design

In the world of community development, art and design have the power to be transformative tools for positive change. We are harnessing this potential through our various programs and initiatives to build inclusive communities that uplift marginalized youth and empower them to become change agents in their own right. Our annual Digital Eco Zine showcases the artistic and activist voices of underrepresented youth, ages 16 to 30, celebrating their contributions to social and environmental advocacy. This year’s theme, in honor of Earth Day on April 22, is “Invest in Our Planet.” We invite creatives who champion environmental change to share what this theme means for them and their communities.

By amplifying the voices of these young changemakers and supporting their initiatives, RCAD Initiative is laying the foundation for more inclusive and resilient communities. Through a combination of art + design, education, community organizing, research and advocacy, we strive to advance the socio-economic well-being of underrepresented youth across Canada.

As we prepare for a sabbatical to expand our reach, we remain committed to amplifying youth-led stories of resilience and transformation. We invite you to explore their inspiring works and join us in our mission to foster a more just and equitable future for all. To view the creative works made by youth, click here.
